Tropical Gem Dance Company brings to the stage an innovative style characterized by great strength, captivating energy, eye catching costumes and acute attention to detail. They are also recognized as one of the first dance companies in this genre to incorporate other rhythms (rumba, afro, hip-hop, etc.) into their choreographies. They have established themselves at the forefront of breathtaking precision dance and innovative salsa choreography.

From Argentina

Gabriel & Leticia are incredibly talented Bachata artists from Argentina. World Champions and world-class performers and teachers.  We're lucky enough to have them join us in Atlanta!


Omambo combines the flashy, sharp style that characterizes salsa on1 with the fluidity and musicality of mambo on2.


Led by World Salsa Champion Omar Muñoz, Omambo brings musicality, technique and Omar’s own unique twists to classic mambo.


He has danced, taught, choreographed and performed for more than 15 years. Omar’s experience includes television, music videos, concerts, artists and music award shows, such as performing at the Latin Grammys with the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz.

Cadence Dance Academy instructs, trains, and performs both locally and internationally in order to sharpen their skills and continue their growth. As trained professionals in Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Cha-Cha, Bachata, Hip Hop, Dancehall, and many other genres of dance, they actively respect and cherish their art, and continue spreading the joy of dance to others as it was done for them. They have managed to create a professional yet comfortable teaching environment that welcomes and challenges all students. Carlos Hernandez and Arlette Guerra are two of the top, established dancers in NYC. Both have careers as professional dancers, and have teamed up to become one of the most sought-after couples for performances and workshops, in congresses and events, world-wide.

Carlos Hernandez, grew up dancing salsa in The Bronx, New York. For half of a decade, Carlos traveled the world performing with Yamulee at international salsa congresses in Hamburg, London, Manchester, Miami, Acapulco, Los Angeles, Chicago and dozens more alongside legendary Osmar Perrones, former Santo Rico teammate. Later, Victor Karisma, former Director of Santo Rico asked him to join Karisma Dance Company. Carlos continued traveling and performing with Karisma at salsa congresses in Punta Cana, Boston and Dallas, as well as on T.V. including ColorVision, Telesistema, Univision and Teleantilla.

Arlette Guerra has been dancing salsa for over 10 years and has been internationally recognized for her talents and fierce passion on the dance floor. At the age of 18 she took her first on2 salsa dance class with Osmar Perrones, currently the Director of Yamulee and former member of Santo Rico. Later, she and Victor Karisma, former Director of Santo Rico, decided to form Karisma Dance Company. She has been to congresses worldwide including events in Italy, Japan, Mexico and Los Angeles, just to name a few. Arlette has also had the honor of performing for many renowned artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, Grupo Niche, Oscar de Leon and others. Most recently, she performed in front of our current U.S. president, President Barack Obama.




From Tijuana, Mexico

Roxy and her dancers are Bachata World Champions from Tijuana, Mexico.  Their shows are electric and their dance teaching and style are always sexy and stylish.  Catch them only at Atlanta Salsa Bachata Festival!

Amy Dominguez is joining us from Orlando, FL.  Don't miss her sexy styling and seductive shows.  We're lucky to have her teaching and performing with us at the Atlanta Salsa Bachata Festival.

Jorge Martinez & Maria Catalan are world champions and incredible performers and teachers from Mexico.  Mexico is the home of so many talented artists and Jorge and Maria represent that legacy well.  Come learn from masters!

For the past 10 years Maria has dedicated herself to dancing Mambo, Salsa On2 and Bachata Dance. She trained and performed with various dance companies. Since then she's been traveling, performing and teaching all around the world across 4 continents. It was her true passion to infuse latin dance and hip-hop that sparked the idea to blend the two art forms to create D'COR Dance Company.
